According to Italian media, Salernitana may be excluded from Serie A.

Lazio President Claudio Lotito stands behind a proxy who formally owns the club, but one person it is forbidden to own two different clubs in Serie A. It is also forbidden to sell the club to your relatives.

In the summer, Lotito wanted to sell “Salernitana”, but there were no buyers. The current president was able to push the year-end sale deadline by bringing in a trustee. Lotito is due to find applicants for the club by 31 December, but according to ANSA, he still hasn’t received any official offers, so Salernitana could be expelled from Serie A right in the middle of the season.

Let’s add that this year “Salernitana” returned to Serie A for the first time in 22 years. Stefano Colantuono’s team is now the last in the Serie A table with eight points after 17 – tee matches.
