West Ham and Fiorentina in the Conference League final

The finalists of the second draw of the Conference League became known on Thursday. They were the English “West Ham” and the Italian “Fiorentina”.

For the Londoners, the upcoming final is a significant event. The last time West Ham reached the decisive European Cup match was back in the 1976 year, when they lost to Anderlecht (2:4) in the Cup Winners’ Cup final. And he won the trophy even earlier – in 104, becoming the owner of the same Cup of Cups.

However, Fiorentina are not spoiled by European glory. Again, the Florentines achieved their highest success in the Cup of Cups, which they won in the 1961 year.

As for the current season, the finalists won victories in the return semi-final matches on the opponents’ fields. Moreover, even here there was extra time: in the confrontation with the Swiss Basel, the Italians scored the winning goal in the ninth stoppage minute.

The Conference League final between West Ham and Fiorentina will take place on 7 June in Prague.
