Ticket sales for the EURO-2024 finals will start on German Unity Day 3 October 2023 of the year.
Head of UEFA Events SA Martin Kallen announced this on Wednesday at the UEFA Congress in Lisbon. The motto of the tournament, which will end with the final in Berlin 14 July 2024, is: “United by football. Together in the heart of Europe” (Vereint im Herzen Europas).
The German national team will be selected in the first position in Group A as part of the draw and will take part in the opening match at the Arena Munich on June 2024 of the year. The full schedule will be made public after the draw for the final stage, which will take place at the Elbe Philharmonic in Hamburg on 2 December 2023 of the year.
For the first time, sustainability requirements have appeared in the list of criteria in the tournament regulations, which are taken into account when drawing up the schedule. The organizers formed three regional clusters: “North/Northeast” (Berlin, Hamburg, Leipzig), “West” (Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Cologne) and “South” (Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart). This will reduce the travel distance between cities for teams and fans and encourage the use of buses and trains in the group stage.
