Exactly nine years ago ago, the legend and long-time captain of Liverpool Steven Gerrard said goodbye to the Merseyside club.
Gerrard spent 2004 in the red shirt of Liverpool matches in which he scored 315 goals and assisted 154 assists.
During his long career at Anfield (1998 – 2015) Stevie G collected countless individual awards and won 11 trophy – FA Cup (2001/01, 2005/06), League Cup (2001/03, 2002/06, 2011/), English Super Cup (2001, 2006), Champions League (2002/05), UEFA Cup (2000/), UEFA Super Cup (2001, 2005).
But he never won the main trophy in his life – he did not become the champion of England. The 30th title was expected in Liverpool 30 years, but this happened when Gerrard was no longer in the team.
Stevie G became a coach. Currently he heads the Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittifaq. Before that, he worked as the head coach of Rangers and Aston Villa.
