The next one started in Poland national football championship. The current champion Jagiellonia beat Pushcha at home in the first match of the season, managing to put the squeeze on the opponent shortly before the end of the match – 2:0.
In another match of the day, Slask hosted Lechia Gdańsk, which returned to the Ekstraklasa after a short break. By the way, Lechia is called the most Ukrainian team in the Polish championship. And this is no coincidence: four Ukrainians took part in today’s match – Sarnavsky, Zhelizko, Buletsa and Vyunnik.
Bogdan Sarnavsky became one of the main characters in the match, repelling several of the most dangerous attacks from the Slask players. The scoring was opened in the minute, when Neugebauer took advantage of the hosts’ mistake and sent the ball home with a shot from the center of the field over the goalkeepers – into the goal. However, Shlensk still managed to avoid defeat. In the second minute of stoppage time, Guercio headed in a cross from the left flank – 1:1.
